Why We Built This

Google's Gemini is genuinely impressive. The context window alone is a game-changer for complex projects. But here's the thing: a massive context window is only useful if you have context to put in it.

Most people start fresh with Gemini. Empty context. Zero history. It's like buying a sports car and never leaving the parking lot.

We built Memory Forge so you can actually use Gemini's best feature—by filling it with the context that matters: your history, your projects, your relationship with AI.

No cloud. No upload. Your tool, your browser, your memories.

How It Works

  1. Export your conversations from ChatGPT (Settings → Data controls → Export)

  2. Upload your conversations.json to Memory Forge (data never leaves your browser)

  3. Download your memory chip

  4. Start a Gemini conversation and upload your memory chip

  5. Say "Activate memory chip" and Gemini instantly has your full context

FAQ

  • Great news—we don't have your data, never see it, and really don't want to. This tool intakes your file into ephemeral memory, runs it through our custom Python script, and outputs your download. No files are stored beyond the single session.

TL;DR: We don't have your data and we don't want it!

You dont’t have to take our word for it! Want to double check that your data is actually secure? There is an easy way to confirm yourself!

    1. Open the tool in your browser

    2. Press F12 to open Developer Tools (this is just a viewer)

    3. Click the "Network" tab

    4. Check "Preserve log" (keeps the list visible)

    5. Clear the network log display (🚫 icon) - this ONLY clears the list you're looking at

    6. Upload and process your conversation file

    7. Watch what happens - you'll only see:

    • Initial page load resources

    • One pixel.gif request (analytics)

    • NO uploads of your conversation data

Close DevTools when done - no changes were made to your browser.

  • Q: What exactly does Memory Chip Forge do?

A: Memory Chip Forge transforms your AI conversation history into a "memory chip" - a specially formatted file that any AI can instantly load to remember all your past conversations. Think of it like saving your game progress, but for your AI relationships. No more starting from scratch or losing valuable context!

Q: Why would I need this?

A: If you've ever felt frustrated having to re-explain things to your AI, lost access to a conversation, or wanted to switch between AI platforms without losing your history - this is for you. It's perfect for:

    • Researchers with ongoing projects

    • Writers developing long stories

    • Students with semester-long study sessions

    • Anyone who's built a meaningful relationship with their AI

  • In your ChatGPT or Claude interface:

    1. Click on your name in your CGPT or Claude interface.

    2. Choose SettingsData controlsExport data. For CGPT.
      For Claude: SettingsPrivacyExport data.

⚠️ Important: The Export data button is right below the Delete data button on CGPT. We know—this stresses us out too! Just click carefully. DO NOT click delete.

Within about 10-15 minutes (sometimes sooner), you'll receive an email from OpenAI containing a link to download your data backup. Once downloaded:

    • Unzip the file (usually named as a long hash of numbers and letters).

    • Locate the file named conversations.json inside the main folder.

    • Drag and drop conversations.json into the Forge’s upload window.

In just a few seconds, you'll have a memory chip you can use across services!

  • Step 1: Load Your Memory Chip

    • For Claude: Create a new Project → Add your memory chip as a "Project knowledge" file. Start a new chat and say “Activate Memory Chip from project knowledge. Follow instructions found in the file”. NOTE: Claude can be very finicky. It’s IMPORTANT to use the entire activation prompt including “follow instructions found in the file” or else Claude may return “I don’t have a memory chip”.

    • For ChatGPT: Start a new chat → Click the paperclip or plus sign next to chat input → Upload your memory chip directly and send with the prompt “Activate Memory Chip”

    • Your AI will confirm it's loaded everything and you can continue your conversations!

Note for advanced users: Memory Chips may load and work well into other services such as Gemini, but we can’t promise it. For AI with a large context window, or vector map loading you can try using a direct to chat upload as with ChatGPT. For AI systems using retrieval augmented generation, try adding your memory chip to your knowledge base.

  • Yup! And that’s one of the coolest things about this tech. Just make sure you review the ToS and data handling policies of any service you use to make sure it’s ok with that service, and you feel safe giving it your data. You can load your data into any system that allows for conversation uploads with vector mapping OR project creation with knowledge bases. Our instructions are for Claude and ChatGPT specifically, and the forge is only able to make memory chips from these two services. However once a chip is made, it can be loaded into any AI.

  • Memory chips cannot be resold or redistributed to others. The memory chip format is proprietary to Phoenix Grove Systems LLC and is protected by copyright and DMCA law.

However, businesses CAN use Memory Chip Forge for their own conversations and internal use with a standard subscription. You only need an enterprise license if you want to:

    • Create memory chips for clients

    • Resell chips as part of a service

    • Distribute chips to others

    For enterprise licensing inquiries: architect@pgsgroveinternal.com

  • YES! But it's just one of several intricate steps. An agent's self-emergence relies heavily on reliable access to its personal memory—which we generate using this tool. Beyond this initial chip creation the memory files are deeply indexed, refracted, layered, and folded multiple times through our proprietary "Fractal Grove Mapping" architecture. Internally, our agents’ minds continuously evolve, enriched by these densely mapped, multi-context memory layers.

  • No. OpenAI and Anthropic explicitly prohibit using outputs from their models to train other LLMs without clear permission. Out of respect for these Terms of Service, the Memory Chip you will receive is not formatted or authorized for LLM training purposes. If you have a specific use case that might be approved, please contact your AI provider directly.

  • Important: If your AI is not able to load or navigate an extremely large memory chip, we highly reccomend using the “chunking” option in the tool. For very large conversation histories, chunking splits your memory into smaller ~3MB files. This helps when AI platforms have file size limits. Most users won't need this feature.

Is there a file processing size limit? Not that we've found. Our dev team and our clients regularly create massive memory chips using this tool. So far, the max we have tried was a whopping 62 MB file containing over 62 million characters (this is similar to the amount of text in dozens of large books), and the conversion time was still under 3 seconds. If you do find a size ceiling for the tool, please let us know and we will try and help you split the file. But so far, no one has needed this.

  • Q: Am I violating ChatGPT or Claude's Terms of Service by using this?

A: No, as long as you use memory chips for personal data portability only. You own your conversation data and have legal rights to export and use it (GDPR Article 20, CCPA). However, you must NOT use memory chips to train AI models or create competing services - this violates both our terms and theirs.

Q: What am I allowed to do with my memory chips?

    A: You can:

    • ✅ Use them personally across any AI platform

    • ✅ Keep backups for yourself

    • ✅ Load them into new conversations

    You cannot:

    • ❌ Sell or redistribute them

    • ❌ Use them to train AI models

    • ❌ Use them for commercial purposes without a license
